Jay-Z will perform at the Super Bowl halftime show on February 14, 2026.

The NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation announced the decision on Monday night. The performance is scheduled for SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

Roc Nation has advised on and helped produce the league's entertainment presentations since 2019. When the partnership began, Jay-Z told NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell that if the deal was about him performing, they could end the conversation immediately.

Goodell said he had one request during those early negotiations: that Jay-Z take the stage whenever the moment felt right. The commissioner noted that the rapper has now agreed to step into the spotlight himself.

Jay-Z said in a statement that the move marks thirty years of music and culture on the world's biggest stage. He described the journey from his 1996 debut album, Reasonable Doubt, to the Super Bowl as a dream come true.

The announcement follows a recent concert tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of that album. Jay-Z held three sold-out shows at Yankee Stadium and additional performances in London and Paris before playing SoFi Stadium over the weekend. His daughter Blue Ivy played piano on several tracks, while guests included Scarface, John Legend, DJ Khaled, Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, and Too $hort.

Born Shawn Carter, the Brooklyn rapper holds 25 Grammy Awards and 89 nominations. He co-founded Roc-A-Fella Records and founded Roc Nation in 2008. Roc Nation will executive produce the upcoming halftime show, with Hamish Hamilton serving as director.

The halftime slot has become a major television event in recent years. Bad Bunny’s performance in February 2026 won a record seven Emmys, while Kendrick Lamar’s show the previous year won for music direction.
