Harriet Moir performed a sold-out season at the Dunedin Fringe Festival earlier this year. That initial run has now concluded, but demand for her hour-long show Dear Stalker has prompted two final encore performances.
These shows are scheduled for Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31, beginning at 7 p.m. at Te Whare o Rukutia in Dunedin.
Moir describes the material as an exploration of the lengths people go to find a partner. The show covers her dating experiences from her twenties through her forties. It combines personal anecdotes with observational humor.
In a statement, Moir characterized the performance as being about finding love in unexpected places before returning to self-reflection. She called it an hour of laughter and honest storytelling that highlights the absurdity of modern romance.
This is Moir’s fourth solo hour of comedy. It follows her recent national tour of Just Eat the Damn Sausage. The show earned a nomination for Best Comedy at the Dunedin Fringe Festival.
Moir resides in Dunedin with her two daughters and a ginger cat. She works as a comedian, writer, and actor. This year, she was nominated for Best Newcomer at the NZ International Comedy Festival and shortlisted for the 2027 Billy T award. She also won the Best Comedian Award 2025 at the Dunedin Comedy Awards and received Outstanding Performance for Lead Female Role at the 2025 Dunedin Theatre Awards. Tickets are available through the TryBooking website.
