Geese performed a sold-out concert at Salt Shed on Saturday, October 31, 2026.

The Brooklyn band played an eighty-minute set that opened with a high-energy version of “Long Island City Here I Come.” Frontman Cameron Winter played keyboards and sang in a deep baritone, while guitarist Emily Green, bassist Dominic DiGesu, and drummer Max Bassin provided the supporting instrumentation. The performance featured strobe lights and flashing red and blue illumination. A secondary keyboardist, Sam Revaz, also toured with the group during this leg of the tour.

The audience consisted of a large number of costumed attendees who contributed to the party atmosphere. Many fans dressed as feathered birds, cowboys, mimes, and Waldos. One attendee wore a shirt with the phrase “psy op” printed on it. This garment referenced the ongoing discussion regarding the band's use of social media campaigns by a marketing firm. Critics have used these campaigns to question the group's identity, describing them as pretentious post-punk imitators of Lou Reed, The Strokes, and Television. Other observers have praised the band as a vital force in rock music.

The concert is part of the Getting Killed Again Tour, which supports the band's 2025 record. The tour has seen high demand, with most shows selling out. This includes the two nights at Salt Shed and a late-night DJ set at Schubas that was announced with little notice. In December, a concert film titled “Cameron Winter at Carnegie Hall” will receive a theatrical release. The film, directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, captures a night from Winter's 2025 solo tour. It is scheduled to begin showing at the Music Box on December 4.

The band formed in 2016 out of high school in Brooklyn. “Getting Killed” is their fourth studio album. This weekend marks their seventh or eighth visit to Chicago. Previous appearances included the Tomorrow Never Knows festival in 2022, where they opened for Jack White. They also performed at Lincoln Hall in 2023, Northerly Island in 2024, Thalia Hall in 2025, and Lollapalooza in the summer of 2026. During the Lollapalooza show, the band performed a set of chaotic art rock.

During the Salt Shed performance, the group played nearly every song from “Getting Killed” and several tracks from their 2023 record “3D Country.” The set list included “2112,” “Bow Down,” “Au Pays du Cocaine,” “Taxes,” and “Half Real.” The concert concluded with the song “Trinidad.”
