The Israeli military reported killing seven armed operatives in Gaza over the weekend. The strikes targeted specific individuals identified as part of Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad.
The IDF said its aircraft hit four terrorists on Sunday across northern, central, and southern Gaza. The victims included Alaa Abu Zaid and Hamdan Suleiman Ibrahim Abu Amra from the Islamic Jihad military wing. The third was Fawzi Salam Odat Allah Sawarha, a Hamas sniper accused of directing fire at Israeli troops. A separate Saturday strike in northern Gaza killed Muhammad Anan Muhammad Al-Rawaj, identified as the head of a Nukhba cell within Hamas's armed wing.
The military stated these fighters were restoring combat capabilities and planning attacks on Israeli forces and civilians. The IDF noted these actions violated the current ceasefire agreement. In another Sunday action, aircraft dismantled a military structure in northern Gaza that served as a sniper position.
On Monday, the IDF detailed a strike in the Khan Yunis area. Troops spotted three terrorists emerging from a tunnel shaft located beyond the yellow line in southern Gaza. An aircraft targeted the group. Subsequent explosions indicated weapons were stored inside the tunnel system.
The military said it used precision munitions and aerial surveillance to limit civilian harm. Southern Command troops remain deployed in the sector to enforce operational agreements and eliminate threats.
