Whatcom County sheriff's deputies booked David Jackson, 57, and Blanca Jackson, 58, both of Nooksack, into the Whatcom County Jail on October 25, 2026. Each faces counts of first-degree robbery, second-degree assault, and motor vehicle theft. The pair were booked without incident, the sheriff's office said.
The charges stem from an October 22 call to the 4900 block of Aldrich Road. The victim had arranged to meet a man at a Meridian Street retail store to show a car listed for sale. During the test drive, the man pulled the vehicle over and told the victim to get out, then punched the victim in the head repeatedly, according to the report.
A woman arrived, began hitting and kicking the victim, and the victim told deputies that one of the two suspects wrapped hands around the victim's throat and restricted the airway. The man then drove off in the victim's car while the woman left in her own vehicle.
Investigators identified David and Blanca Jackson as suspects and found a vehicle matching the description of the one leaving the scene parked in the Jacksons' driveway. Deputies determined probable cause existed for the robbery, assault, and theft counts before the October 25 bookings. The case remains under review by the Whatcom County Prosecutor's Office, which decides whether to file formal charges.
