Domestic beef prices reached record highs, prompting South Park to drop its signature Sloppy Joe lunch from the school menu. This specific pricing change triggered the plot of the series' latest installment, which aired on Comedy Central on Wednesday. The episode directly addresses the economic pressure on working families facing inflated grocery bills.

The four main characters set out to reclaim local beef production. Randy Marsh, Stan's father, now occupies Kenny's spot in the group after shrinking to child size in the previous episode. The boys discover that consuming the highly sought-after meat causes severe digestive issues. Wealthy diners who can afford the product suffer such intense diarrhea that they explode in a Scanners-style effect inside restaurants.

The show links eating this specific beef to being a true American patriot. This gag repeats throughout the hour. Several scenes feature interviews with the resulting piles, which the episode describes as still being full of it. The creators use this visual to comment on the current political and economic climate surrounding food trends.

The satire extends to President Trump's recent pause on beef tariffs. The episode mocks elite dining trends alongside these policy shifts. It frames the rising costs of basic food items as a central political issue, using the school lunchroom as the primary setting for this conflict.

A preview for Grand Theft Auto VI appears roughly two-thirds through the broadcast. The characters, now residing in South America, visit a cattle ranch and meet a new character named Ruth Chris. She resembles Ruth Fertel, the founder of Ruth's Chris Steakhouse, but is not the actual person. She explains that the game's footage demonstrates what is coming in November.

The clip shows the game's protagonist, Jason Duval, fighting a man on Vice Beach. A bag of dog waste appears in the scene, which may symbolize partisan politics. Ruth Chris notes that the graphics are seriously next level and points out the detailed world-building. She explains that players can pick up the waste, throw it at a person carrying it, and use it to attack someone who fights back.

Rockstar Games will release the title on Nov. 18. Creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have used the game's release as a metaphor for the upcoming midterm elections. The episode ends by setting up this November payoff, linking the video game launch to the political calendar.
